CITI – SCAPE
Concrete wings
In abstract skies
Wheel on high
Gather on ledges
Of crystal mountains
Where light leaves last
Then the canyon’s roar
Drops to a sigh
Ranges change
To mile-high reefs
Netting stars
On an asphalt sea.
When the Moon, dry-eyed
Sheds stainless steel
On the citi-side
The canyon sings
In winks and gleams
To its chromium bride.
